Join Susan DeRyder and Fumiha Tanaka for an 8 month (249 day) ceremonial journey with Venus in her Morning Star phase.

⚝ Together, we will journey to the Underworld as Venus slowly descends in the sky.

⚝ As Venus meets the Moon each month, we will honor the stage of the journey she is in, supported by plant allies and in deep connection with the rhythms and cycles of the planets so that you feel fully supported in this initiatory cycle.

⚝ The Sumerian Myth of Inanna directly reflects the Venus Cycle. This ancient myth holds great wisdom and offers us powerful guidance on a deeply personal level. This timeless wisdom is available to everybody when we choose to collaborate with these ancient mysteries. We invite you to intentionally participate in this journey so that you can discover the empowering practice of consciously uniting the Earth and Sky.

Venus represents the Inner Sacred Feminine in all of us.
This transformational journey is open to all!

⚝ Over the course of 8 months, Venus meets the Moon in the sky (Dec 4 2026, Jan 3 2027, Feb 2, Mar 4, Apr 3, May 4, Jun 3, July 3). These meetings are referred to as ‘gates’ since they directly reflect the Inanna myth…

Inanna, the Sumerian ‘Queen of Heaven and Earth’ journeys to the underworld when she hears her older sister, Ereshkigal’s husband has died. She intends to go to witness the funeral rites. When Ereshkigal learns of Inanna’s arrival she does not seem pleased. She tells Neti, the chief gatekeeper to bolt the seven gates of the underworld against Inanna and then let her in, one gate at a time, requiring her to remove one of her royal garments at each gate. Gate by gate, Inanna is stripped of her crown, beads, ring, sceptre, even her clothing, and, when she asks the meaning of this indignity, she is told by Neti:
“Quiet, Inanna, the ways of the underworld are perfect. They may not be questioned.” (Wolkstein and Kramer 58-60)

⚝ The Venus/Moon gates correspond to the chakras (energy centers in the body). Notice, there are 8 gates in this cycle. Some cycles have 7, some have 8 - when there is an 8th gate it is referred to as the ‘Earth Star Chakra’ or Death by Intent.

What to expect/what’s included…

+ We will meet via Zoom* once a month a day or two prior to each gate so that you are connected to the essence of the stages in the cycle and feel to support of a community of like minded souls. (see meeting dates below)
*All meetings will be recorded and only shared with those inside the cohort.

+ Together, we will follow the movement of Venus as she makes her way down and through each gate (chakra) so that you can connect with each step of this journey with awareness and intention.

+ We will observe and learn about the movements of the sky so that you can receive the transmissions from the planets through your own eyes.

+ Each month, we will meet a new plant ally that has been carefully chosen to support each gate. You will work with each plant for the entire month so that you can develop a deeper relationship with the plants as well as have time to connect with how it is here to support you. Fumiha will pick plants that are easily accessible and will also list places to buy if you prefer not to receive the plants directly from her. You will be shown how to formulate the flower essence dosage bottle and receive a "How to…" document that you can access at anytime.

+ We will offer journaling prompts each month to support and deepen your inquiry at each gate.

+ A Bija mantra will be offered each month to deeply activate and nourish each gate. The specific Bija mantras are associated with specific chakras so that you can connect to each gate through sound vibration before descending to the next. If you wish, the mantra can be chanted as part of your daily practice through the entire month.

+ You will receive an email before and after every call containing important information for each gate so that you can more easily stay focused while also allowing space for you to process and integrate whatever comes up.

+ You can choose to be a part of a community messaging group (WattsApp) so that you can stay connected between our calls, ask questions and have community support as you share this journey within a trusted, group of likeminded humans. .

8 Month Journey Includes:

+ 10 × 90 min calls via Zoom
+ Option to add supporting plant allies - 30 day supply per gate - shipped to you directly from Fumiha OR aquire your own.
